PURPOSE: A method for displaying information and status of application programs in a digital broadcasting receiver is provided to easily identify the status of the application programs in downloading and uploading the application programs. CONSTITUTION: A method for displaying information and status of application programs in a digital broadcasting receiver includes the steps of downloading the application program received through digital broadcasting while outputting and displaying an OSD image guiding the downloading status(S10-S11); uploading the downloaded application program while outputting and displaying the OSD image guiding the uploading status(S13-S14); and outputting and displaying the OSD image guiding an uploading failure if a hang-up is generated during the uploading or a reference uploading time passes(S15-S16).
