PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly superpose a lot-number map and a housing area display map one over the other. SOLUTION: A map information management system is equipped with a lot-number display map management system 10 which manages lot-number display maps, a housing area display map management system 20 which manages housing area display maps, and a map retrieval system 30. A reference-point DB 33 of the map retrieval system 30 is stored with a couple of reference points prescribing the conversion relation between the coordinate systems of the lot- number display maps and the housing area display maps, and an auxiliary reference point for deforming the lot-number display maps based upon officially registered maps. The lot-number display maps are classified into precise law article-17 maps and other officially registered maps. The map retrieval system 30 deforms a lot-number display map based upon the officially registered map according to a housing area display map having higher precision than the officially registered map to correctly superpose both the maps one over the other. |
