PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver's awakening-degree detecting device which can shorten a learning time while maintaining the performance of excellently estimating an awakening degree when a specific driver uses the device. SOLUTION: This driver's awakening-degree detecting device estimates the awakening degree of a driver on the basis of new reference information by inquiring whether the driver as an object of detection learnt a blinking frequency and an eye-closure time as individual's standards before, learns in a time shorter than an ordinary learning time when it is decided that the driver learnt, and determines the new reference information according to personal reference information obtained by previous learning, and not only speedily estimates the awakening degree, but also compensates lessening learning information with previously learnt individual reference information to suppress misdetection, thereby estimating the awakening degree with high precision.
