Solid composition for destroying soot and tar comprises: (a) more than 40 wt.% of an agent (I) that acts on soot and tar; (b) plant waste; and (c) a binder. An Independent claim is also included for production of the composition either mixing the ingredients in solid form or by mixing components (a) and (b) with the molten binder and cooling the mixture or by mixing components (a) and (b) with a solution of the binder and then removing the solvent.
