PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external facing material attaching construction and its method capable of easily attaching external facing materials covering a corner portion. SOLUTION: A first portion to be linked and a second portion to be linked are attached to the rear surface having an almost L-shaped cross sectional view covering two perpendicular side surfaces of a column, and a first linking portion and a second linking portion are attached to the side surface of the column in response to the first portion to be linked and the second portion to be linked. And the first portion to be linked and the first linking portion are linked from a perpendicular direction perpendicular to the side surface of the column to which the first linking portion is attached, both the second linking portion and the second portion to be linked have the external facing material attaching construction linked from the same direction as that of the first linking portion, and an almost L-shaped external facing material can be easily attached to the corner of the column.
