PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet processing method which can be carried out in a planographic printing plate precursor and minimizes the risk of damaging or contaminating electronic and optical parts. SOLUTION: A printing method including the following stages (i)-(v) is disclosed; (i) a planographic printing plate precursor comprising a support and a heat sensitive or photosensitive coating is prepared, (ii) the coating is imagewise exposed to heat or light, (iii) the planographic printing plate precursor is mounted in the printing unit of a printing press having a dampening system and an ink supply system before the stage (ii) or (iv), (iv) the coating is developed by supplying a processing solution to the coating through the dampening system to obtain a planographic printing plate and (v) a single-fluid ink or dry graphic ink is supplied to the planographic printing plate through the ink supply system to carry out printing. This printing method enables on- press processing of a printing plate material which requires wet processing. |
