PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent clogging in an air duct due to dust contained in cooling air and prevent deterioration of cooling efficiency of an electric motor, due to the clogging. SOLUTION: In this totally enclosed fan cooled motor, which introduces cooling air from an electric motor end face part by an external fan to change a direction of the cooling air from a radial direction to an axial direction in an electric motor end face external peripheral part, so as to guide the cooling air to an air duct formed along axially an electric motor external peripheral surface, an exhaust hole (12a) for discharging dust is formed in the straight forward advancing direction of the cooling air, introduced from the electric motor end face part and directed toward the radial direction, in the electric motor end face external peripheral part.
