摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium which is capable of efficiently forming magnetization patterns with high accuracy and has high impact property and durability, a method of manufacturing the same and a magnetic recording device having this magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: The magnetization patterns are formed on the intra-surface magnetic recording medium 1 which has a magnetic layer 1b on a substrate 1a and is magnetized with the magnetic layer 1b nearly uniformly in the prescribed direction within the surface by irradiating the recording medium with energy rays 5 to locally heat the magnetic layer 1b and simultaneously impressing external magnetic fields by a magnet 2 to the magnetic layer 1b thereby magnetizing the heated sections in a direction reverse from the prescribed direction. The manufacturing intensity in the perpendicular direction in the regions irradiated with the energy rays on the basis of the magnetic field intensity in the intra-surface direction in the regions irradiated with the energy rays is >=50% and the magnetic field intensity in the intra-surface direction in the regions exclusive of the regions irradiated with the energy rays is <=110% and in addition, the magnetic field intensity in the perpendicular direction exclusive of the regions irradiated with the energy rays is <=100%.
