摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately achieve fuel injection at a low injection rate in a simple structure. SOLUTION: In this fuel injection device, a driving state of a needle 31 can be selectable only between a first driving state wherein a driving direction is direction to open the needle 31 and a second driving state wherein the driving direction is a direction to close the needle 31. A first injection hole 10 opening when the needle 31 is at a first deformation amount, and a second injection hole 105 opening when the needle 31 is at a second deformation amount larger than the first deformation amount are formed in an injector 11. During fuel injection at the low injection rate, the first and the second driving states are repeated alternately so that the driving state is made to be the first driving state and then the driving state is turned to the second driving state before the deformation amount of the needle 31 exceeds the second deformation amount. The fuel injection is performed in the injection rate prescribed by an opening area of the first injection hole 104 only. During fuel injection at the high injection rate, the fuel injection is performed in a state that the needle 31 reaches the maximum deformation amount and both of the first injection hole 104 and the second injection hole 105 are opened.
