PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the responsiveness of control when performing time proportion system of combustion control at load change such as size alteration, etc., in a continuous heating furnace using a regenerative radiant tube, and to prevent the acceleration of deterioration of heat accumulator material by performing restoration in the case that the heat balance of the heat accumulator is lost by having raised the responsiveness. SOLUTION: In a method of providing a combustion stop time as occasion demands within a changeover setting time in alternating combustion and altering the rate of combustion time within the changeover setting time, according to the load change, the interval between the points of time to issue alteration commands is made an integer times, twice or over, the changeover setting time. It is desirable to measure the temperatures of the heat accumulators of both burners and switch the combustion in the direction of reducing the temperature difference or stop the combustion when the temperature difference is over a specified value, and it is desirable to integrate the differences between the combustion times of both burners and switch the combustion in the direction of reducing the difference or stop the combustion when the integrated value is over a specified value. |
