OPTICAL TRANSMITTER/RECEIVER AND WAVELENGTH MULTIPLEXED OPTICAL TRANSMITTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter/receiver, with which other signal light can be normally received on a receiving side by suppressing lowering of the power of multiplexed transmitting wavelengths in a wavelength demultiplexed transmitting system. SOLUTION: This optical transmitter/receiver has an optical receiver for converting an inputted optical signal to an electric signal and outputting it and an optical transmitter for converting the electric signal outputted from the optical receiver to an optical signal and outputting this optical signal after varying the wavelength thereof. The optical receiver has a means for outputting the optical signal with a quantity of light almost equal to that of an optical signal in the case of modulation.
