PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a sound insulation effect, protect sound absorbing material in a casing, and increase the durability of the sound absorbing material in this power generating device having a cooling air inlet for cooling an engine and a generator provided in the side plate of a power generating device casing. SOLUTION: The engine 11, the generator 12, a fuel tank 13, and the controller 26 of the power generating device are disposed in the power generating device casing, and a sound insulation board 25 having the sound absorbing material 81 stuck thereon is disposed between the fuel tank 13 and the controller 26. Thus, noise can be absorbed by the fuel tank 13, noise transmitted to a controller 26 disposed part can be reduced, noise from the controller 26 can be reduced, and the noise of the power generating device can be reduced.
