The wear monitoring arrangement has a first displacement sensor for monitoring the total wear-dependent distance between the right brake lining (3) and the caliper (4) and a second sensor for monitoring the distance between a fixed part (14) and caliper dependent on the wear of the left brake lining (2). Both displacement sensors are in the form of a common displacement sensor (20).
