PURPOSE: A program library system is provided to construct a program library with an XML for easily modifying the program library or adding new data to the program library. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a server(1) and a personal computer(11). The server(1) includes a system controller(2), the first database(3), a program converter(4), the second database(5) and a communication controller(6). The personal computer(11) includes a communication controller(12), a data process controller(13), a keyboard(14), a mouse(15), a memory(16), a display driver(17) and a monitor(18). The system controller(2) stores an original program at the first database(3), and transmits the original program to the program converter(4) for converting the original program into the XML program if the user requests the original program to be upgraded. The system controller temporarily stores the XML program at the second database(5). If the file conversion is finished, the personal computer(11) receives the converted XML program via the communication controller(12), and displays a list of the programs on the monitor(18). The user selects one among the listed XML programs, and the personal computer(11) displays then a file name included in an "explain" tag of the selected XML program on the monitor(18).
