PURPOSE: An over-torque alarm of a vehicle is provided to lengthen the life span of the part related with a power train system and to correct the wrong habits of a driver by warning the driver of the over-torque. CONSTITUTION: A torque sensor(16) is installed on a transmission input shaft(14) between an engine(10) and a transmission(12). A signal detector(18) detects the load torque measured by the torque sensor. A control unit(20) decides if the torque is over the maximum output torque range of the engine by receiving the load torque information from the signal protector. An alarm unit(22) alarms the over-torque under the control of the control unit.
