A circuit arrangement for feeding a load includes a second terminal of the load at a first input of a rectifier circuit and a second pole at a second input of the rectifier circuit. One positive output is connected by the controlled current path of a first transistor and the anode/cathode path of a diode. The anode of the thyristor lies at the positive output of the rectifying circuit and the cathode at the circuit zero point. The control electrode of the first transistor is coupled to a tap of a series resistance. A connection point at the second transistor and the resistance lies at the input of second comparator, whose second input is supplied with a constant reference voltage. One input of the switching stage is joined to an output of the second comparator. One output of a measuring transducer is connected to an input of a delay element and at a first input of an AND gate, with the output of the AND gate lying at an input of a second monoflop.
