DITHERING METHOD FOR DISPLAYING GRAY SCALE IN PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND SYSTEM FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: A dithering method for displaying gray scale in a plasma display panel(PDP) and a system for the same are provided to remove false contour line at dark area because of gray scale problem when compensating inverse gamma. CONSTITUTION: A dithering system for displaying a gray scale in a plasma display panel(PDP)(30) includes an RGB input block, an inverse gamma compensation block(10) for implementing an inverse gamma compensation for 256 gray scale to each RGB channel inputted thereto, a dithering processing block(20) for outputting the dithering values to the PDP and the plasma display panel(30).
