METHOD FOR DETECTING WEIGHT OF LAUNDRY IN WASHING MACHINE USING SENSORLESS BLDC MOTOR

PURPOSE: A method for detecting the weight of laundry in a washing machine using a sensorless BLDC motor is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by removing a hall sensor and peripheral circuits. CONSTITUTION: A user determines whether a selected state is a laundry detection mode or not(S41). A motor is operated if the selected state is the laundry detection mode(S42). A revolution speed of the motor is compared with a predetermined revolution speed(S43). The motor is controlled according to a torque control mode after the first predetermined time passes(S44,S45). The revolution speed of the motor is stored if the second predetermined time passes(S46,S47). The amount of laundry is determined by using the revolution speed of the motor(S48).
