APPARATUS FOR ATTENUATING HOWLING FOR USE IN CATHODE RAY TUBE

PURPOSE: A howling attenuation apparatus for a cathode ray tube is provided to improve the effect of periodic damping by integrating a connecting member with a contacting member to provide them on a non-effective surface of a shadow mask. CONSTITUTION: A contact member(32) contacts to a shadow mask and receives an oscillation to disperse it. A plurality of connecting members(34) connects the contact members(32) neighboring thereto. A howling attenuating unit for a cathode ray tube is installed on a non-effective surface of the shadow mask. The connecting members(34) are not directly connected to each other. The connecting members(34) are formed in one unit with the contact member(32). The contact member(32) is a globe-shape having a passing through-hole for passing an end of the connecting member(34).
