The clumps and oversized particles are thrown up by tines (23) rotating about a shaft and spun against fixed parts of the hopper (5) and a processing and screening unit (3) so that the particles become broken down through the impact forces. Further clumps of the material are pressed by the rotating tines through longitudinal slits in the screening unit until they fall through and the oversize parts are spun out into a side exit at random. Independent claim describes separator device with closed hopper with screening unit at one side and a driven rotor with several rotating tines.
