The seat bank (10) is designed with the parts supporting the seating surface (21) extendable through a folding mechanism (30). When unfolded the folding mechanism provides a supporting frame. The folding mechanism moves a seat element (11) which has a top and bottom side (12, 13) so that the seat element can rotate about a horizontal rotary axis (15) lying across the travel direction by means of an axle leg (14) on the underneath of the seat element. The axle leg can rotate about a second rotary axis (17).
