OUT-OF RANGE MODE DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: An out-of range mode display device and a method for the same are provided to supply a convenience to a user for changing an original support mode without additional equipments or the user's system by supplying a high resolution display to the out-of range mode. CONSTITUTION: A method for implementing an out-of range mode display device includes the steps of: receiving(40) a horizontal and a vertical synchronize signals by a control block; determining(41) whether the horizontal synchronize signal is detected or not in the control block; changing(42) a monitor into a power saving mode when the horizontal synchronize signal is not detected; determining(43) a display mode; determining(44) whether the display mode is the out-of range mode or not; setting(45) a phase locked loop(PLL) demultiply value corresponding to the inputted display mode when the display mode is not the out-of range mode; setting(46) a PLL demultiply value lower than the inputted display mode when the display mode is the out-of range mode; outputting(47) an on screen display(OSD); and resetting(48) the display mode when the user detects the OSD output.
