PURPOSE: A portable disk player is provided to minimize the thickness of a base unit and remove a joining element by fixing a pickup base by using a vibration preventing element. CONSTITUTION: A portable disk player includes a base unit where a display unit is connectively installed at an end to rotatively move at a predetermined angle, forming an external appearance with an upper housing(120) and a lower housing(110), and having parts including a substrate inside; a pickup base secured between the lower housing and the upper housing, and having construction for reading rotation of a disk and signals recorded at the disk; a vibration preventing element(156) installed at a side of the pickup base, wherein one side of the vibration preventing element is supported on the lower housing and the other side of the vibration preventing element is supported on the upper housing, so that the vibration preventing element absorbs noises and vibration transmitted between the pickup base and the base unit; and a guide shaft(119) passing through the center of the vibration preventing element and connecting the upper housing and the lower housing.
