PURPOSE: An air compressor of automobile is provided to reduce suction noise of outside air during driving of the air compressor by installing a muffler on an air inlet. CONSTITUTION: A muffler(20) is installed on an air inlet(12a) formed in a cylinder head(12) to suck in outside air when a piston(13) reciprocates so as to reduce suction noise. The muffler comprises a housing having a plurality of partitions installed at regular intervals; a first suction pipe installed to have one end penetrating one side of the housing and the penetrating plates and placed in the housing; a second suction pipe installed parallel to the first suction pipe and having one end placed in the housing and the other end inserted to the air inlet; and sound absorbing material covering and fixing the first suction pipe and the second suction pipe placed in the housing and reducing suction noise of outside air introduced into the housing.
