PURPOSE: A structure for a chemical substance DB and a constructing method thereof are provided to largely reduce the time and the manpower for the development by deeply databasing the product information relating to the chemical substances through the network and to make a user fast and correctly search or buy the product relating to the chemical substances. CONSTITUTION: A category DB(611) classifies and stores the usage of each chemical substance name or a chemical product name into a plurality of categories. A chemical product information DB(612) and a chemical substance information DB(613) respectively store the information relating to the chemical product information by each chemical product name. A manufacturing company information DB(614) stores the information for a manufacturing company by each manufacturing company. A category chemical product link DB(621) links the chemical product name with the category classification of a category DB(611). A category chemical substance link DB(622) links the chemical substance name with the category classification of a category DB(611). A chemical substance synonyms DB(624) links a representative name with the synonyms of the chemical substance name.
