A fragrance or aroma composition (I) comprises (Z)-8-tetradecenal and/or (E)-8-tetradecenal. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a process for adjusting or enhancing the citrus aroma of a base composition by the addition of (Z)-8-tetradecenal and/or (E)-8-tetradecenal; (2) a process for modifying a fragrance or aroma composition by the addition of (Z)-8-tetradecenal and/or (E)-8-tetradecenal; and (3) an article (II) comprising 0.0001-1(0.001-0.1) wt.% of the composition (I) (with respect to the total amount of foodstuff).
