PURPOSE: A method for obtaining traffic information using location information of a mobile terminal is provided to obtaining the traffic information without constructing extra infrastructure for obtaining the traffic information, thereby reducing the cost. CONSTITUTION: In registering location of a mobile terminal through the random first base station, location information and register time are stored(S301). In registering location of the mobile terminal through the random second base station, location information and register time are stored(S302). The travel velocity of the mobile terminal is calculated based on the stored location information and register time(S303). The calculated travel velocity is obtained during a preliminarily set time or as much as the preliminarily set figure of the mobile terminal, and the mean travel velocity is calculated by statistically processing the obtained information(S304). The traffic information between the base stations based on the calculated information(S305).
