PURPOSE: A gantry crane having a circulating spreader is provided to load and unload a container promptly and stably by improving transfer speed with moving spreaders including rolling units, and to reduce the number of spreaders by simplifying the structure. CONSTITUTION: A gantry crane is composed of a main column(21) moving; a boom(22) including first, second and third tracks(28,29,30) in upper, middle and lower parts installed horizontally in the main column; plural hoist trolleys(23,24) having a head block and a hook including a driving unit, and lifting the head block with moving along the first track; and plural spreaders(25a,25b,25c,25d) mounting and separating the container and the hook and moving along second and third tracks. The spreaders are moved along the third track in assembling the container or along the second track in separating from the container.
