PURPOSE: A computer system and a controlling method thereof are provided to enable a user accurately locate a cursor on a display by supporting the visual recognition for a mouse cursor. CONSTITUTION: A region setting part sets up a working region on the display(5). A setting region storing part(24) stores a position value of the working region. A cursor position detecting part(26) recognizes a position of the mouse cursor(10) according to the movement of a mouse(9). A mouse stop tool(14) limits the movement of the mouse(9). A controlling part(22) controls the mouse stop tool(14) in order to stop the movement of the mouse(9) when the mouse cursor(10) moves beyond a border of the position value of the working region of the setting region storing part(24) by the detection of the cursor position detecting part(26).
