PURPOSE: A printing control apparatus and a display method therefor are provided to preview the printing for each output medium or for a combination of a plurality of printing media before printing is executed in accordance with print settings for each output medium. CONSTITUTION: Before print data to be transmitted to a printer(1500) are generated, a spooler(302) temporarily stores the print data by a data format(intermediate code) different from the data format of print data to be finally sent to the printer(1500). A despooler(305) generates the print data to be finally sent to the printer(1500) from the data temporarily stored by the intermediate code format. A printer driver(203) generates a printer control command.
