PURPOSE: An ascending and descending apparatus of a loader is provided to reduce noise caused by ascent and descent of a chuck and prevent damage of parts and deformation of equipment in ascent and descent of parts. CONSTITUTION: An ascending and descending apparatus comprises a power transmission unit(10) and an ascent and descent unit(20). In the power transmission unit, a servomotor(14) controlled by a controller is installed on a fixed frame(12) with a roller rolled on rails, and a pinion gear(15) is installed to a rotating shaft of the servomotor. In the ascent and descent unit, plural guide shifts(17) are vertically installed to the fixed frame. A moving frame(21) with a chuck is fixed to the lower end of the guide shifts. A rack gear(18) engaged with the pinion gear is vertically set up to the moving frame, with passing through the fixed frame.
