<p>A method of storing a long plastically deformed member capable of suppressing the partial deformation or nonuniformity of deformation of the long plastically deformed member even when the long plastically deformed member overlapped with a liner is wound on a long plastically deformed member storage reel for storage, comprising the steps of, when the liner and an unvulcanized tread member are wound on the reel (72) for storage, supporting the reel (72) on a driven roll (40) and a drive roll (30), intermittently rotating the reel (72) so as to repeat the forward and reverse rotations, and differentiating the rotating angle of the reel (72) at least before and after the stoppage of the rotation, whereby, since the weight of the wound tread member itself is applied uniformly on the entire peripheral surface of the reel during the storage, the collapsible deformation produced thereby can be made uniform in the longitudinal direction and the shape of the tread member in the periphery of the reel is not varied.</p> |
