PURPOSE: A bar code reader is provided to make an accurate exposure process possible. CONSTITUTION: A bar code reading sensor(71) is mounted at one end of an arm(69). A nut unit(61) is fixed at the other end of the arm(69) and includes a thread type groove having a predetermined pitch at the inner circumference of the first hole which penetrates the inner portion thereof. A lead screw(57) is mounted in the first hole and includes a thread type groove having the same pitch as the groove of the first hole. A power source(54) is connected to one side of the lead screw(57), includes a driving shaft(55) for rotating the lead screw(57), and makes the nut unit(61) be moved linearly toward the horizontal direction of the lead screw(57) by rotating the driving shaft(55). At least one pair of holes penetrates the nut unit(61) horizontal to the first hole. A pair of guide shafts(63a,63b) is inserted into the holes and rotated with the nut unit(61) when the driving shaft(55) is rotated.
