The especially manually operated grinder has a housing (1) and a motor-driven base plate (2) to the front of which a sanding pad (3) is detachably fixed by means of a form fit. The base plate can be swiveled at least in parts facing each other for the form fit. The form fit consists of a shoulder on the base plate, and a counter-shoulder on the sanding pad.
