A combination bank/calling card and method for personal telephone, merchant and bank transactions is described. The bank/phone card is similar to a debit/credit card that can be used as a debit or credit card and a telephone card which utilizes a single account number. As a telephone card, a user would dial a special telephone number to used the card, input the account number, input a personal identification number (PIN), and dial the number to be called.
