The method for producing the formatted images (15) related to defects in an image capture appliance of the set, comprises a first computational algorithm for selecting in a set of parameterable transformation models, in a set of parameterable reverse transformation models, in a set of synthesis images, in a set of reference scenes and in a set of transformed images: a reference scene (9), and/or a transformed image (13), and/or a parameterable transformation model (12) for transforming a reference image (11) of the reference scene (9) into said transformed image (13); and/or a parameterable reverse transformation model (212) for transforming said transformed image (13) into said reference image (11); and/or a synthesis image (7) obtained from said reference scene (9) and/or obtained from said reference image (11).
