The mouse mat or the like is made of a recycled rubber material such as used car tires and plastic mixed by granulating into small grains or particles and mixing with an adhesive such as polyurethane. The material is pressed into a shape such as a cylinder and left to dry for between one and three days. The mixture can then be cut and used as a base or pad such as a mouse mat.
