Damping element comprises an inner tube (2), an outer tube (3), and an intermediate tube (4). A first rubber annular element (5) is coaxially arranged between the inner tube and the intermediate tube and a second rubber annular element (6) is coaxially arranged between the intermediate tube and the outer tube. The rubber annular elements are vulcanized together with the surrounding tubes to form an inseparable unit. The outer diameter (9) of the inner tube is changed to reduce tension in the rubber annular element after the vulcanization process. Preferred Features: The outer diameter of the inner tube is increased to achieve radial pre-tension on the first rubber annular element.
