A conveyor, preferably for transporting skids (12), including a frame (16) having first and second laterally spaced side rails (20), first and second underlayments (40) fixed to the first and second side rails (20), first and second endless belts (32, 34), and a drive (24) mechanically coupled to the first and second belts. The belts are formed of a plurality of interconnected rigid modules (36) wherein the first underlayment supports the first belt and the second underlayment supports the second belt.
