PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling an immobilizer of a vehicle are provided to prevent the vehicle from being stolen by shutting off an injection of fuel when an immobilizer function is not applied to an engine control device. CONSTITUTION: An immobilizer controlling apparatus includes an ignition key(10), a key holder(20), a control device(30) and an engine control device. A transponder having a secrete code is installed in the ignition key(10). The ignition key(10) receives power from a coil antenna installed in the key holder(20), thereby outputting a predetermined secrete code. The key holder(20) outputs power applied from the control device to the transponder of the ignition key(10) and transmits the secrete code to the control device(30). The control device(30) applies power to the antenna of the key holder(20). |
