PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling a development of an air bag are provided to improve safety and reliability of passengers of a vehicle by stably and precisely developing the air bag. CONSTITUTION: An air bag developing apparatus includes a window interface section(10), a static current source(20), a microprocessor(40), a regulator(50), a communicating section(60), and a control section. The window interface section(10) detects resistance value changing information from sensors installed in a door glass. The static current source(20) supplies power to the sensors installed in the door glass with a predetermined time interval. The microprocessor(40) generates an air bag developing control signal. The regulator(50) stably supplies power to each load of the air bag developing apparatus. The communicating section(60) sends the air bag developing control signal to a main processor.
