COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING RADIX TRICHOSANTHIS EXTRACT

PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing a Radix Trichosanthis extract exhibiting a skin whitening effect, skin irritation reducing effect and immunostimulating effect as a main component is provided which is formulated into a skin lotion, cream, emulsion, pack or the like. CONSTITUTION: The skin whitening cosmetic composition contains 0.01 to 30% by weight of a Radix Trichosanthis extract, based on the total weight of the composition. The extract is prepared by extracting a Radix Trichosanthis in one or more solvents selected from purified water, lower alcohol, glycerin, ethyl acetate, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, dichloro methane and hexane, filtrating and concentrating or freeze-drying. The cosmetic composition is selected from a skin lotion, gel, aqueous liquid, O/W or W/O type formulation.
