PURPOSE: A shift lever is provided to effectively isolate dusts and noise without raising the production cost. CONSTITUTION: An upper cover(4) is sealed by a stay(7) under a shift lever(1). An outward flange(8) is formed in the cover. An inward flange(9) is formed in the stay. In inserting the upper opened portion of the upper cover into the lower opened portion of the stay, the inward flange is hung in the outward flange to prevent the separation. The stay is formed by a stiff rubber. Thereby, the inflow of dusts and noise through the shift lever is prevented cheaply.
