PURPOSE: A phone number registration and guidance method is provided to register an old phone number, which has been used before, and a new changed phone number at a web server, and to receive a phone call with the old phone number though the new changed phone number is not known to phone callers. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a phone number registration step and a phone number guidance step. In the phone number registration step, a registerer accesses a web server, inputs personal data according to a guidance of the web server and registers an old phone number and a new changed phone number. In the phone number guidance step, a phone number searcher, who has made a call to an old phone number and heard that the called phone number was changed with a new phone number, accesses the web server, and selects a changed phone number search code(S22). A switched connector offers a web page for requesting the searcher to input an old phone number, and the searcher inputs the old phone number on the web page(S23). The web server searches for the new changed phone number, corresponding to the input phone number, in a database server(S24, S25). In a case that there exists the corresponding new changed phone number in the database server, the web server displays the new changed phone number(S26).
