PURPOSE: A method for an unlocking vehicle door for cases where a driver has left a personal IC card in the vehicle is provided to achieve improved reliability and theft resistance by permitting the vehicle door to be unlocked when the user has left his/her personal IC card in the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of detecting whether a user tries to lock a vehicle door through a door module by using a key or a remote keyless entry; a second step of transmitting the trial of door locking to a personal IC card unit, if it is detected in the first step that the user tries to lock the vehicle door; a third step of checking the existence of a personal IC card in the vehicle by permitting the personal IC card unit to emit a low frequency through antennas; and a fourth step of permitting the user to recognize that the trial has failed due to the existence of the personal IC card in the vehicle by performing a vehicle unlocking through the key or the remote keyless entry, if the existence of the personal IC card in the vehicle is detected in the third step.
