PURPOSE: A shifting mechanism for a motorcycle is provided to improve working efficiency by maximizing operational force, to enhance the accuracy by lowering rotational clearance, and to lengthen a life span by reducing noise. CONSTITUTION: An operating cam(30) decides the variable speed ratio by engaging plural gears. A shifting mechanism for a motorcycle is composed of a cam rotating unit(40) rotating the cam, and a cam position deciding unit(45) placing the operating cam in neutral and 1 to 6 ranges. Operational force is maximized for driving the operating cam, and accuracy is improved by lowering clearance of rotation. Working efficiency is improved by operating a selecting unit for the center of the cam. Noise is reduced, and the life span is extended.
