Building slabs are produced by mixing fly ash with a moisture content of 18-28% by weight with lime, and/or calcium hydrate and/or Portland cement and an aggregate, e.g. in situ sandy or gravelly soils, slag or broken stone. Sodium carbonate may also be added as a hardening accelerator. In the example, 30% of fly ash with a moisture content of 18% is mixed with 4% of calcium hydrate, 1% Portland cement and 1% sodium carbonate, 64% of an aggregate is then mixed in and the whole spread and consolidated by conventional means.
|
