The invention relates to a method and a device for the interference suppression during image processing. Two output signal values of directly adjacent pixels are compared to one another respectively and are replaced by target signal values that are calculated by means of the comparison. The aim of the invention is to guarantee a minimum of artefact production for any images to be processed. The target signal values are calculated by averaging and calculating the maximum of the two output signal values, whereby the relative weighting of the averaging and the maximum calculation is adaptively controlled according to the signal strengths of the output signal values.
