PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce danger of a fire and an explosion for a machine which is arranged in a casing and is equipped with a driving mechanism to be able to feed a lubricant through a lubricating device, especially for an engine, more advantageously, for a two cycle large sized diesel engine. SOLUTION: The engine is equipped with the driving mechanism which is arranged in a crank case. The driving mechanism is equipped with a crank shaft 6, and members 7, 8 and 9 which connect the crank shaft 6 with at least one piston 5. This method to increase the explosion-proof property of the machine is constituted in such a manner that a fire-extinguisher containing at least water-mist form water being formed of fine water drops may be fed to at least one section in the internal chamber of the casing 1 including the driving mechanism when a temperature increase which cannot be allowed is generated in the region of the driving mechanism.
