PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a planar member capable of reduing the number of parts, capable of being reduced in thickness and capable of reducing cost, and the planar member. SOLUTION: The planar member is formed by a method wherein a soft resin 34 is applied to at least one of the upper surface 12B and back surface 12A of a planar member 12 having flexibility and cured to be changed in volume to bend the planar member 12 into a curved shape.
